6) Serge Gnabry (previously: 5th)

First things first, none of Bayern Munich’s summer signings have been a bust. In fact, every single one of them has proven to be a good buy, further underlining that Bayern Munich are among the best in the business when it comes to the transfer market.

That being said, Serge Gnabry has been the least impressive of Bayern’s summer purchases. Perhaps that’s a bit harsh to say, considering he hasn’t yet played a match for the Bavarians.

That he’s last on this list isn’t just down to him being loaned to Hoffenheim, though. If anything, that’s been the best thing that could have happened to him. He’s been excellent under the tutelage of Julian Nagelsmann, one of his club’s best players.

However, he missed a big chunk of the first half-season due to injury, and didn’t have an abundance of opportunities to demonstrate his undeniable talent.

After many rumors suggesting Bayern plan to extend Gnabry’s loan at Hoffenheim for another season, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge ensured the club plans to bring him back this summer. This just solidifies the idea that Bayern see Gnabry as a part of their future plans.

If he continues to develop at his current rate, he’ll prove a fantastic signing for the German giants. That Bayern purchased him for only €8 million will just make his signing all the more impressive.
