Offensive player of the season: Robert Lewandowski

Despite just missing out on the Torjägerkanone (the Bundesliga’s top scorer award), Lewandowski still had a terrifically prolific year in front of goal. For the second year in a row, he scored at least 30 Bundesliga goals. To do so once is impressive enough, but in consecutive seasons is spectacular.

On several occasions this season Bayern Munich found themselves in a hole and in need of a goal or two to pull them out. And almost every time it was the same man who stepped up to do just that: Robert Lewandowski.

With a knack to always be in the right place, a keen eye for goal, an incredible work ethic, and the ability to finish wonderfully with both feet, Lewandowski is a world-class striker that any manager would love to have in his club.

Much like Thiago, Robert is a key piece to the Bayern Munich squad. Unless he demands to be sold (which he won’t despite any rumor you may hear), look forward to seeing more of the Pole’s amazing goal-scoring feats in the 2017-18 season.

Runner-up: Arjen Robben
