Forward-led Bayern Munich cruise to a 3-0 win over 6th-placed Eintracht Frankfurt in another great performance.

The Bavarians truly do seem to have hit their stride at just the right time under coach Carlo Ancelotti. With 5 wins in as many games (each by at least 3 goals), Bayern Munich look to be unstoppable on current form.

Ancelotti fielded the same 11 that hammered Hamburg just two weekends ago, leaving veteran Franck Ribery on the bench and giving future retiree Xabi Alonso the day off. The decision paid off as Bayern had no trouble seeing off Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena.

Manager Grade

A. Carlo Ancelotti held nothing back, fielding arguably his strongest line-up with over a week before Bayern Munich’s next match. As the result shows, he made all the right decisions to gather his 18th win in the Bundesliga.. Manager. Bayern Munich. CARLO ANCELOTTI

Player Grades

Bayern Munich. MANUEL NEUER. B. The Bavarians number 1 was relatively untested at home. Was beaten early on but bailed out by a great tackle from Mats Hummels. Made a great save late in the game to ensure he kept his 12th league clean sheet of the season.. GK

B+. Started the game on the wrong foot, getting beaten down the wing on a few occasions. Alaba quickly grew into the game, however, and expertly assisted Douglas Costa for the team’s second goal.. LB. Bayern Munich. DAVID ALABA

C+. After putting in a Man of the Match worthy performance last weekend, the Spaniard would always find it hard to perform just as well against Frankfurt. Caught standing on a few occasions, Martinez’ poor marking was bailed out by Hummels early in the first half. However, Javi was able to recover and give a good performance before making way for Jerome Boateng.. CB. Bayern Munich. JAVI MARTINEZ

Like Martinez, Hummels did not have the best of performances, but his quick thinking and hustle saved Bayern Munich from conceding on Frankfurt’s best chance. He expertly timed his slide tackle to knock the ball clear at just the right moment. For that piece of play alone (which is just as good as a goal at the other end) Hummels’ grade gets boosted.. CB. Bayern Munich. MATS HUMMELS. B-

Bayern Munich. PHILIPP LAHM (C). B+. Bayern Munich’s long time captain rolled back the years to put in a classic performance at right back. No complaints can be made here, as Lahm was absolutely solid on the right flank.. RB

A. Once again Bayern Munich’s top performer, Thiago registered a match high 143 touches and a passing accuracy of 91.6%. On top of that, Thiago managed a phenomenal 13 interceptions and won 4 aerial duels, more than any other player in red. Bayern Munich’s midfield maestro is not only the best player for his squad, but also the best midfielder in Europe on current form.. CM. Bayern Munich. THIAGO

B-. The Chilean toiled tirelessly as ever and proved yet again why he is known as “the Warrior.” Subbed off in the 77′ to make way for youngster Renato Sanches who may serve as the successor to Vidal, providing the effervescent energy essential in the Bayern Munich midfield.. CM. Bayern Munich. ARTURO VIDAL

LM. Bayern Munich. DOUGLAS COSTA. B. Full of spirit,, the Brazilian caused much trouble on the left flank and had little trouble finishing on Alaba’s well-placed cross. He capped off his goal with an impressive back-flip.

A-. Everyone’s favorite Bavarian may not be scoring, but there is no denying that he has turned into an important part of this Bayern team again. Muller’s quick thinking and determination saw him turn a seemingly wasted chance into a goal, as he tracked down a loose ball and expertly found Lewandowski for the opener. His 10th assist means he stays the top provider in the Bundesliga.. CAM. Bayern Munich. THOMAS MULLER

B+. Proving that he can create chances just as well as he can put them away, Robben had 5 key passes on the day. However, only one actually turned into a goal. Age seems to have no effect on the “Flying Dutchman” who played the full 90 minutes without slowing down.. RM. Bayern Munich. ARJEN ROBBEN

A natural goal-scorer, Lewandowski did today what he does best: score goals. Although he’d be disappointed not to get his hat trick, Lewandowski did score his 100th Bayern goal before being subbed off in the 74th minute to make way for Kingsley Coman.. ST. Bayern Munich. ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI. A

C. Had little to do in defense as the match came to a close. The German international will have a hard time getting back into the starting XI after the recent performances of Hummels and Martinez in central defense.. CB. Bayern Munich. JEROME BOATENG (64')

B-. The young Frenchman is doing well to make the best of his time on the pitch and seems to have found some good form. In his 16 minutes on the pitch, Coman was able to complete a team-high 3 dribbles and was fouled twice. Not bad for a short cameo. Not bad at all.. RM. Bayern Munich. KINGSLEY COMAN (74')

CM. Bayern Munich. RENATO SANCHES (77'). N/A. Sanches’ appearance was not enough to warrant a grade as he had little impact on the outcome of the match. The mature young man will be hoping for more playing time in future matches.
