Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti reveals his training techniques which allows him to achieve success on the pitch.

The Italian admitted that he focuses on relaxation equally as he does on the intensity in training. Bayern Munich have been suffering numerous injuries to their key players in past few years. Ancelotti will be only without Jerome Boateng as all other players will be fit for their game against Schalke.

Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are enjoying good seasons under Ancelotti this year. The duo have spent majority of time on sidelines in past couple of seasons. However this year they are back to their full fitness. While talking to Kicker, the Italian admitted that he doesn’t kill his players with too much intensity in training.

"“I’m not a coach who kills his players in training. Most of the drills we do involve the ball, I don’t like running a lot without the ball, but my players average 6,000, 7,000 metres. That’s enough.”“In Spain there is a saying: ‘demasiada agua mata la planta’ – too much water kills the plant. It’s the same with training. The dosage must be right. You can train hard, but you have to give the body the chance to relax.”"

Bayern Munich are currently sitting top of the league and progressed in the domestic cup and Champions League. Ancelotti has won numerous trophies at different clubs and he  will be hoping that he achieves the same at Bayern after implementing his methods.

The Italian also admitted that he wants Philipp Lahm to continue playing atleast till 2018 when his current contract ends. Lahm has previously admitted that he will hang his boots after the current season. However the rightback has changed his tune recently by suggesting that he will see out his current contract.

"“It’s Philipp’s decision, of course. But I told him that I want him to continue playing until the end of his contract in 2018.”“He is fit and has no problems – he could be the next Paolo Maldini.”"

Bayern Munich enter into the crucial period of season. They cannot afford to relax in Bundesliga as RB Leipzig continue to remain just three points behind them. The Bavarians also have a crucial tie against Arsenal in last 16 of Champions League next month.
