Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti has expressed no concern about finishing second in Champions League group.

The German Champions ended the group stage with a 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday. Bayern Munich finished second in the group behind Atletico Madrid after suffering two defeats in the campaign.

The Spanish side won all their games except for the last group game against Bayern Munich. Bayern finished second in the group after a long time as they usually come on the top in past few years. The Italian manager is not worried about the finishing second as there is hardly any difference between the quality of the qualified teams.

"“Our objective was to finish first in the group, but I don’t think it will change much. There isn’t much difference between the first and second-placed teams. Now we have to wait for the draw.”"

Robert Lewandowski was the only scorer in the game against Atletico Madrid with a sublime freekick. The German team was dominant in possession and solid while defending. Ancelotti insists that the result was irrelevant but the performance was very important for his side. He also believes that despite this performance there is a scope of improvement for the team.

"“I think we played well. We had good control of the game and prevented their counter attack.“In the end the result wasn’t important, but the performance gives us confidence for the coming games, although we still need to improve further.”"

Bayern are regaining the momentum after back to back losses against Borussia Dortmund and FC Rostov. They collected their third win on the trot in ten days in all competition. A minute modification in the system from Ancelotti is helping his team to do well.
