Bayern Munich have raised their concern over Arturo Vidal’s injury suffered while he was away for Chile.
The Bayern Munich midfielder started in Chile’s 0-0 draw against Columbia. Vidal was not able to complete the 90 minutes due to an injury. The German Champions believes that the player should not be risked in their next game if he has not recovered from the injury.
Chile are in a tricky situation in terms of qualification for the World Cup. They face Uruguay on Tuesday in a must win game which might force them to field Vidal despite injury. Bayern CEO Karl Heinz Rummenigge has raised his concern about the player through the German media outlet Bild.
"“FC Bayern is very concerned about the health of Arturo Vidal. We call on the Chilean federation to deal with the matter responsibly and sensitively. It must be ensured that the player’s health comes first.”"
Vidal has admitted eagerness to participate in the game against Uruguay. Bayern will be hoping that Chile remain cautious about Vidal’s injury. The dynamic midfielder is an important player for Carlo Ancelotti and losing him for injury would be a big blow for them.
On the other hand, Bayern confirmed that Kingsley Coman will be out for two months as the scans confirmed the extent of injury. Coman suffered the injury in training before France’s game against Sweden.
Ancelotti will be hoping that none of his other players suffer any injury in the second phase of the international break. Javi Martinez will return to training next week. Holger Badstuber regaining complete fitness as he played the full 90 minutes for the Reserve team.
