Bayern Munich Defender Withdraws From International Duty
Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng has withdrawn from the upcoming games for Germany in the International break.
The defender was substituted at the end of second half in Bayern Munich’s 1-1 draw against Hoffenheim on Saturday. Bayern Munich will not be taking any risk with their star defender as
they gear up for important fixtures after the break.
Bayern extended their unbeaten run in the league with the draw on Saturday.Boateng complained about a abductor muscle injury in the Hoffenheim game. The defender is going to miss Germany’s games against San Marino and Italy. Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed that the injury is not severe and nothing to worry about.

Bayern are now joint leaders in Bundesliga as RB Leipzig grabbed a win on Sunday to be level on points. The better goal difference helped Bayern to retain the top spot in the league. Carlo Ancelloti admitted that despite the shaky start on Saturday,Bayern deserved to win as they created numerous chances.
Ancelloti has been suffering constant injuries to his defenders this term. Javi Martinez is also sidelined due to an injury after a strong start to season from the Spaniard. On the other hand Holger Badstuber is back in action after a long time for Bayern. The Italian will be hoping that Boateng recovers before their next game.
