Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelloti expressed his satisfaction about his team’s performance on Saturday against Borussia  Mönchengladbach.

The first half goals from Arturo Vidal and Douglas Costa were enough for the home side to get a win after two draws in the League. Bayern Munich remain at the top of the table, three points ahead of second placed Hertha Berlin.

Carlo Ancelloti was not happy with his player’s attitude after the 2-2 draw against Eitracht Frankfurt last week. The players have responded the Italian perfectly with two crucial wins on the trot. Earlier this week Ancelloti’s men had clinched a convincing 4-1 win over PSV Eindhoven in Champions League.

In his post match conference,Ancelloti admitted that Bayern Munich delivered their best performance of the season. He also praised the defence as Bayern have been leaking goals lately. The Italian boss also insisted that players have rectified the errors from the previous games.

"“We’ve learned from Frankfurt. In the first half, it was a really good display, our best this season with a lot of intensity. We played a good game, we were strong in defence and had good control.“I told the players at half time to be careful as nothing was decided and you could see the energy wasn’t 100 per cent after our midweek game. They are intelligent players and have taken on board what I told them.”"

The Bayern manager made changes to the squad from Wednesday. The rotation policy has backfired Ancelloti in the league, but this time it yielded good results. He rested the German trio of Jerome Boateng, Thomas Muller and Philip Lahm for the game against Gladbach.
