Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has expressed his happiness of returning back to pitch after being out due to constant injuries.
The Dutchman was instrumental for Bayern Munich in midweek. He played a crucial part in 4-1 win over PSV Eindhoven. Robben scored one and assisted two goals in the match. The winger is gaining momentum in terms of fitness after enduring a troiublesome year with injuries.
Robben was out of action in the initial part of this season. Carlo Ancelloti had admitted that he is still a pivotal player for Bavarians, but needs to be managed carefully. Robben expressed his satisfaction about the return in the post match interview after the game against PSV.
"“I am just happy to be playing again and I enjoyed every minute and it is special for me to play against my old club tonight. It is the first time that such a thing has happened to me since I started playing football abroad.”"
Robben explained the gruelling process of getting back in to the best possible fitness shape. He was on the scoresheet for Bayern Munich in their 2-2 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend. The winger is in contention to be in the starting lineup against Saturday’s fixture against Borussia Monchangladbach.

Robben is entering into his final year of contract at Bayern Munich. He has enjoyed best part of his career in Germany. The Dutch forward has a lot of competition in the current Bayern squad for his position. Robben will be hoping for an injury free season in order to earn a new contract at the club.
