13 Bayern Munich Players Leave for International Duty
13 Bayern Munich players will be off playing in World Cup Qualifiers and international friendlies during the Bundesliga’s two week international break. Here is where everyone is going!
Germany: Manuel Neuer, Mats Hummels, Jérôme Boateng, Thomas Müller, and Joshua Kimmich
5 Bayern Munich players will help Germany face the Czech Republic on Saturday October 8th to resume their World Cup Qualifying. They will then turn around three days later to face Northern Ireland in Hanover for their final Group C game. In Germany’s last World Cup Qualifier, they bested Norway 3-0.
Spain: Thiago and Javi Martínez
Thiago and Javi Martinez will first travel with the Spanish national team to Turin to take on Italy on October 6th. Three days later, on October 9th, they face Albania.
Austria: David Alaba
David Alaba joins Austria as they battle against Wales and Serbia in Group D. They play Wales on October 6th and Serbia on October 9th.
Chile: Arturo Vidal
Arturo Vidal joins the Copa America winning Chile as the battle to qualify for the World Cup against Ecuador and Peru. The Chileans will face Ecuador on October 6th and Peru on October 11th.
France: Kingsley Coman
Kingsley Coman joins the Euro 2016 runner-up to take on Bulgaria in Paris on October 7th and then the Netherlands in Amsterdam on October 10th. The Dutch will be without their captain, Arjen Robben.

Poland: Robert Lewandowski
This Bayern Munich forward will be an integral part of Poland’s two World Cup Qualifiers. Poland will face Denmark and Armenia at home on October 8th and 11th, respectively.
Portugal: Renato Sanches
The Bayern Munich youngster will help the European Champions face Andorra on October 7th and then the Faeroe Islands on October 10th.
United States: Julian Green
Julian Green, who is joining for the squad for the first time since May of 2015, will be with the USMNT for a pair of friendlies against Cuba and New Zealand. The historical friendly on October 7th against Cuba will be the first time the US has played on Cuban soil since 1947. Four days later, the USMNT will travel to Washington DC to take on New Zealand in RFK Stadium, where the MLS club DC United plays.
