Bayern Munich is reportedly eyeing a summer move for Wolverhampton star Adama Traore.

The usual summer transfer window is fast approaching, so rumours are gathering pace. There is growing uncertainty about when competitive football will resume, which may affect the starting and closing of the window. Bayern Munich are generally efficient in their recruitment process, but things have stalled at the moment for them.

One thing is certain that Die Roten’s main focus in summer will be to add more firepower in their attacking department of the squad. The record Bundesliga champions tried to achieve this target last summer, but the player signings couldn’t live up to expectations.

Some obvious players have been linked with a move to Bavaria in the past 12 months. However, one can never rule out Rekordmeister to pull a rabbit out of the hat in the transfer window. They have been making some off the radar signings that have eventually succeeded at the club.

The defending Bundesliga champions have been heavily linked with a move for Manchester City winger Leroy Sane. The latest suggestions from the United Kingdom hint that Die Roten is also looking at another Premier League winger.

More from Bayern Strikes

According to renowned football journalist Duncan Castles (via Transfermarkt), Bayern is targetting a summer move for Wolverhampton winger Adama Traore. On the Transfer Window Podcast, Castles admitted that Die Roten is set to face competition from Manchester City for the signature of Spanish winger.

Castles also insisted that Wolves will want a fee close to €100 million for the 24-year-old winger. This is not the first time Rekordmeister is showing interest in Traore. Speaking to Catalan radio station Club de la Mitjanit (via Birmingham Mail) in 2015 after completing a move to Aston Villa, Traore admitted that he had rejected a move to Bavaria in favour of joining the English club.

Traore came through Barcelona’s youth academy, but couldn’t break into the first team. He moved to Villa to get regular playing time and had a stint at Middlesborough before sealing a move to Wolves. Traore has an ample amount of pace but often struggled with the end product in previous campaigns. However, this year he has become a lethal player for Wolves, by improving in the final third- scoring important goals and creating big chances for his teammates.

There is no doubt that Traore has the talent to become a top winger, but Die Roten would want a much better player if they are paying €100 million this summer. If Die Roten fails to land Sane in summer, then trying to sign Traore for somewhere close to €60 million would be a sensible move.
