Bayern Munich aim to round off a good week with a win over RB Leipzig on Bundesliga matchday 27.

Although they can’t actually win the league tomorrow, Bayern Munich can take put themselves within touching distance of their sixth consecutive Bundesliga title tomorrow when they travel to RB Leipzig. Bayern Munich have enjoyed a brilliant week after they progressed to the Champions League quarter-finals with an emphatic 8-1 win on aggregate against Besiktas.

Bayern have been unbeaten in the Bundesliga since November. The Bavarians have a 20-point lead at the top of the table. In their last Bundesliga game they hammered Hamburg with six goals at the Allianz Arena. They are slowly hitting their top gear at the crucial moment of the season.

RB Leipzig were able to mount a decent title challenge in the Bundesliga last year. However, in their second season in the top flight they have been struggling to find consistency. They currently sit sixth in the league table, four points behind the Champions League places.

Team News

Bayern Munich will be without numerous players for the game against RB Leipzig. Thiago suffered a minor injury against Besiktas, and he is ruled out for this game. Corentin Tolisso is back in training but he is not completely fit for Sunday.

Arjen Robben missed the trip to Turkey due to a pinched nerve. The Dutchman will miss the game against RB Leipzig as he is yet to recover from this problem. Kingsley Coman and Manuel Neuer still remain on the sidelines due to their respective long term injuries.

Predicted XI

Jupp Heynckes is likely to once again make some changes to give playing time to many players. Sven Ulreich is definitely not getting any rest until Neuer returns to action, though. Joshua Kimmich and David Alaba are likely to occupy the full-back positions. In the heart of the defense, Mats Hummels is likely to partner Jerome Boateng.

Sebastian Rudy will probably get a chance to play in the holding midfield role. Arturo Vidal is likely to partner the German in the center of the park. Heynckes confirmed that James Rodriguez is going to start so he will take up the attacking midfield position.

Bayern have very limited options in the attack right now. The German manager is likely to go with Thomas Muller on the right flank and experiment again with Juan Bernat on the left flank. Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for the German Champions.

The home team come into this game in woeful form as they have won only one in their past five games in all competitions. Leipzig have a lot of talented player who can, on their day, trouble Bayern a lot. Naby Keita will be a crucial player for the hosts in the midfield as he creates a lot of chances for the forwards. Emil Forsberg and Bruma are effective players when they hit opponents on the counter. Bayern’s back four will have to defend solidly against Timo Werner and Jean-Kevin Augustin. The strike duo have done the majority of scoring for Leipzig this season.
