Arjen Robben’s injury concerns are all due to his explosive play as per Bayern Munich’s fitness coach Giovanni Mauri. The Dutchman made his return against Hertha Berlin on Wednesday after missing out initial games due to injury. He was an unused substitute against Hamburg on Saturday.

Robben has a troublesome season last year as he only played 22 games for the German giants. The winger has been a key player for the Champions throughout his time in Germany. The club has plethora of talent on flanks now, but still determined to have Robben back to his best.

The fitness coach admitted that Robben’s style of play often leads to such injury concerns. Robben has suffered various muscle injuries last year. Mauri explained the aspects which makes Robben vulnerable to such injuries while talking to German media.

"“Arjen Robben’s characteristics make him a vulnerable player. His typical sprints and explosiveness are crucial to him. These characteristics always pose a certain injury risk, though.”"

The fiitness coach also provided the solution for Robben. He believes that if the winger follows a proper training regime then he can avoid such injury concerns. Robben would be looking to emulate his teammate Franck Ribery who is back at his best after recovering from serious back injury. Mauri is also certain that Robben will be back to his best form soon.

"“But you can significantly limit the risk with the right training regime. That is our goal right now.“Arjen has left this difficult spell with injuries behind him. He will 100 per cent certain become the same player he was before his injuries again. It is now up to him, to us and to the right training regime to ensure he remains injury free.”"

Robben scored on his return to the first team against Hertha Berlin. Ancelloti admitted that he is a crucial member for the team. He also insisted that he needs to managed properly as he is just back from injury. Robben will continue to be a player who will make impact from bench till he regains complete fitness.
